모자장인과 원숭이들/이솝우화

 

Once upon a time, there was a hat-maker.

One day he put the hats in a bag and went to the market.

He sat under a tree and slept.

There were many monkeys in the tree.

They came down and took the hats.

Then the man woke up.

He looked up at the tree and saw the monkeys.

The monkeys were wearing his hats!

The man was very angry. He shook his fist at them.

The monkeys shook their fists, too. "Oh, I have a good idea!"

The hat-maker took off his hat and threw it on the ground.

The monkeys did the same. The hat-maker picked up the hats,

and he went to the market.

 

아주 오랜 옛날, 모자장인이 살았습니다.

하루는 모자를 가방에 담고 시장으로 나갔습니다.

그는 나무밑에 자리를 펴고 잠들었습니다.

그 나무에는 원숭이들이 많았습니다.

원숭이들은 내려와서 모자를 가져갔습니다.

그리고 남자가 일어났습니다.

그는 나무위에 원숭이들을 보았습니다.

원숭이들이 그의 모자를 쓰고 있었습니다!

모자장인은 매우 화가났습니다.

그는 원숭이들에게 주먹을 흔들었습니다.

원숭이들도 주먹을 흔들며 따라했습니다.

"아~ 좋은 생각이 났다!"

모자장인은 그의 모자를 벗고 땅에 던져버렸습니다.

원숭이들도 따라했습니다.

모자장인은 모자들을 주워서 시장으로 갔습니다.
