The Wolf and The Sheep

 

A Wolf had been hurt in a fight with a Bear.

He was unable to move and could not satisfy his hunger and thirst.

A Sheep passed by near his hiding place, and the Wolf called to him.

"Please fetch me a drink of water," he begged,

"that might give me strength enough so that I can get me some solid food."

"Solid food!" said the Sheep.

"That means me, I suppose. If I should bring you a drink,

it would only serve to swallow me down your throat.

Don't talk to me about a drink!"

 

An wickedness is easily seen through!

 

 

늑대와 양

 

늑대 한마리가 곰과 싸우다가 상처를 입었다.

그는 움직일 수가 없었고 배고픔과 갈증을 해소할 수가 없었다.

양 한마리가 그의 은신처 근처를 지나가게 되었고

그 늑대는 그(=양)를 불렀다.

"제발 내가 딱딱한 음식을 먹을 만큼 힘을 가져다주도록

나에게 물 한 모금을 가져다 주세요." 라고 그는 애걸했다.

"딱딱한 음식이라! 그것은 나를 의미하는 것 같군.

내가 당신에게 물 한 모금을 가져다 준다면,

그것은 당신의 갈증을 줄게 해서 나를 한입에 꿀꺽 삼키도록 해 줄 뿐이야.

나에게 물 한 모금에 대한 이야기는 꺼내지도 마!" 라고 그 양은 말했다.

 

사악함은 쉽게 간파되어 진다 !
